Dear friends,
We have received the heartbreaking news that Susanna Heller, our beloved artist and friend, has died.
Over the last decade Susanna has been met with more trauma and loss than any one human could be expected to endure. She rose again and again to meet each obstacle, and returned with passionate loyalty to her studio where she created astonishing work that captured the depth and breadth of her life experience.
She has been in and out of the hospital for the past year, still sketching relentlessly from her bed, and has finally been freed from the suffering.
She was a fierce warrior on all fronts in her life, and we cherish our memories of her personality, and her spectacular talent.
She is a huge loss to us, and her passing makes us more aware of the fragility of life and the precious nature of our various relationships.
